We know how you value your brommie, so BIKEgang has worked with ATS to present the newest 2015 version SPEED DRIVE with specially designed lock rings, no more chamfering on BB shell, and this means no more chamfering tools to buy or rent.
ATS - Speed drive is a gearing system that makes the chainring spinning at a higher rate. For instance, 38 tooth chainring with speed-drive engaged, will work like a 1.65 times larger one (63 tooth chainring). ATS Speed drive is manufactured under license of Schlumpf Innovations GmbH, (Switzerland) since 2005. All components are made in Taiwan and assembled in Taiwan.

1. Black Gear Box
2. Bottom Bracket + Axle
3. Crankarms with Kickplates (Black or Silver)
4. Also include Chainring with chain guard. Please specify Colour choice and Size. 34T is recommended.
- With two gears: direct drive 1:1, overdrive 1:1.65 /165% (Model SD250 can overdrive to 250%)
- Axle length: 136mm, for bottom bracket width 67 - 73mm.
Weight： Including spindle, bearings, and spider, excluding chainring and crankarms: 902g
(36 tooth chainring with chainring bolts: 131g, crankarms 291g each).
Please compare the total weight of the speed drive with the total weight of a triple
chainring set including the shifter, cable, and derailleur. Example: Shimano Altus
(48/38/28 teeth): weight incl. right crankarm: 1255g
Features
- Planetary gearing system with two switch positions: direct drive 1:1, overdrive 1:1.65
- Direct shifting via push buttons or "easy-shift" - levers on both ends of the spindle. No cables, no rods.
- Gear housing: Corrosion resistant, completely encased and protected against dust and spray water.
- Axle: Rides on (replaceable) cartridge bearings. You can expect a lifetime of more than 20'000 miles for the bearings and much more for the speed-drive.
- No chamfering on the BB shell is required.
